Ladies Squad Celebration Lunch

On Sunday 9th May, instead of the usual ploughing up and down the river or 6 x 500m pieces the ladies squad enjoyed a wonderful three-course lunch at the Diglis Hotel.
The lunch was organized by Andy Gallop to celebrate having two ladies eights race at the tideway and producing performances above and beyond expectations.
As well as athletes & coxes from both boats, attending special guests included those that have helped or supported the squad over the last year. They included Colin Legge, Chris Couper, Kevin Lewis and Sarah Knight (aka that lady who tortures us on Tuesday nights at circuits).
Colin Legge kindly said a few words during the meal which was proceeded by a presentation where a commerative gift was presented to everyone by Steen McCollin and Andy Gallop.
Rumour has it some stayed on for a quite along time after the dinner had finished and more than a few struggled to get up the next day.
